Kim Gagne received a BFA in Painting from Swain School of Design in New Bedford, Massachusetts (part of the University of Mass in Dartmouth).

She attended the MFA program in painting at Parsons School of Design in New York, and is currently enrolled in the MFA program in nonfiction at SNHU. Kim is a scholarship recipient to the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Madison, Maine.In 2019 she won a month-long fellowship to the Jentel Artist Residency in Banner, Wyoming.2021 Exhibitions - Provincetown Art Association in Provincetown, MA, Gilsland Farm Audubon Center in Falmouth, Maine, and the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod in Hyannis, Massachusetts. She is also Artist in Residence at Harwich Cultural Center Studio 209, Harwich Massachusetts.
